Stories from the Kitchen

 Every couple of months the Beenleigh Neighbourhood Centre invites people who have come to this area to join together in a dinner party at the Beenleigh Centre and share their cuisine and their life story.

The most recent was held on Valentines Day February 14.

There were about 30 guests who collectively provided an excellent meal with dishes from around the world to enjoy.

Two of the guests were Sylvia and Carlos.

Now living in Shailer Park Sylvia came originally from Brazil and Carlos from Portugal.

Also attending was well known local Identity George Anderson.

When everyone had satiated their hunger and swapped their stories we were treated to a performance by the resident belly dancing troupe .

Sonya, who is in charge of staging Stories from the Kitchen, intends to arrange the next dinner party in April.
