Edens Landing Station update

Railway works from Holzheimer Road, Bethania to Holmview Road, Holmview will include:
- Widening the rail corridor, including major earthworks and constructing retaining walls
- Relocating and installing new tracks and other rail infrastructure
- Upgrading Edens Landing station
- Removing Holmview Road level crossing
- Local road improvements – Holzheimer Road, Eddy Avenue and Holmview Road
- A new walking and cycling bridge over the rail line in the vicinity of Houdini Terrace and connections to Holmview Road

In addition to the ongoing enabling works, between Holzheimer Road, Bethania and Holmview Road, Holmview, the following works will be undertaken within and around the rail corridor:
- earthworks to prepare the ground for track laying activities, construction of access tracks and laydown areas
- retaining wall construction, including soil nail installation
- installing overhead line infrastructure, including piling works for foundations
- constructing walking and cycling connections
- installing drainage
- cable service route installation works including excavation and concreting.
These works are part of preparing for major construction to commence in late 2026.
Track closures
Between Saturday 19 September to Sunday 11 October 2026, there will be track closures and travel changes on the Beenleigh and Gold Coast train lines.
