ARRC reaches key approval milestones

ARRC reached two important milestones in July as planning and environmental assessment for the Stapylton precinct continued to progress.
The City of Gold Coast endorsed the Local Government Infrastructure Designation (LGID) for the precinct, establishing the planning framework needed to deliver the ARRC master plan. Individual facilities will still require further work and approvals as they are brought forward.
At the Commonwealth level, public consultation on ARRC's assessment under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conversation (EPBC) Act also closed in July, following consultation on detailed environmental documentation covering areas including biodiversity, ecology, air quality, traffic and noise.
The EPBC assessment process is now progressing through its next stages
