Flood Warning for the Logan Albert River basin

MODERATE TO MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT BEAUDESERT FROM OVERNIGHT FRIDAY
Minor flooding is possible from Friday evening at Beaudesert, with moderate to major flooding possible overnight Friday and into Saturday with forecast rainfall. Flooding is likely to develop further downstream from Saturday.
Moderate to heavy rainfall associated with Tropical Cyclone Alfred has been recorded across the upper Logan catchment during Thursday and into Friday and is expected to intensify from overnight Friday and into Saturday with the movement of TC Alfred.
Forecast heavy to intense rainfall has the potential to cause dangerous and rapid river level rises along the Logan and Albert rivers and its tributaries. Major flooding is possible from late Friday with forecast rainfall, and further rises are possible over the next several days.
Flood Watch is current for South East Queensland, Condamine and Border Rivers.
A Tropical Cyclone Advice, Severe Weather Warning and Coastal Hazard Warning are current for southeastern Queensland, including the Darling Downs and Granite Belt.
Major flooding may occur along the Logan River to Yarrahappini.
The Logan River at Beaudesert is currently at 2.77 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (5.50 m). The Logan River at Beaudesert may exceed the minor flood level (5.50 m) Friday evening. The river level may exceed the moderate flood level (7.80 m) and major flood level (8.30 m) overnight Friday into Saturday.
Moderate flooding may occur along the Logan River downstream of Yarrahappini
.The Logan River at Maclean Bridge is currently at 2.69 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (10.00 m).
The Logan River at Maclean Bridge may exceed the minor flood level (10.00 m) Saturday afternoon. The river level may exceed the moderate flood level (13.50 m) late Saturday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
The Logan River at Waterford is currently at 0.70 metres and falling with the tide, below the minor flood level (6.0 m). River level rises are likely from Friday, and minor to moderate flooding is likely at the Logan River at Waterford during Sunday, with further rises possible.
The Logan River at Parklands is currently at 0.09 metres and falling, with the tide, below the minor flood level (2.50 m). River level rises are likely from Saturday, and minor to moderate flooding is likely at the Logan River at Parklands during Sunday, with further rises possible.
Moderate flooding is likely along the Albert River.
The Albert River at Wolffdene is currently at 1.95 metres and rising, below the minor flood level (6.00 m). The Albert River at Wolffdene is likely to exceed the minor flood level (6.00 m) Saturday morning. The river level is likely to exceed the moderate flood level (8.00 m) Saturday afternoon. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
The Albert River at Beenleigh is currently at 0.07 metres and falling with the tide, below the minor flood level 3.50 m). River level rises are likely from Saturday, and minor to moderate flooding is likely at the Albert River at Beenleigh overnight Saturday and into Sunday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall.
